NVIDIA Halos Lab Marks Breakthrough in Certified Physical AI Safety with Wave of Industry Adoptions
NVIDIA has established the world's first ANSI National Accreditation Board (ANAB)-accredited AI Systems Inspection Lab through its Halos platform, integrating functional safety, cybersecurity, and AI compliance into a unified framework for physical AI systems like autonomous vehicles and robotics. On March 16, 2026, several leading companies including AEye, Hesai, Gatik, SecEdge, and Lattice Semiconductor announced their joining of the lab ecosystem, signaling a major push toward safety-certified AI deployments. Prominent partners collaborating with the lab include Bosch, CertX, SGS, TÜV Rheinland, TÜV SÜD, UL Solutions, and exida, each bringing expertise in ADAS sensors, digital trust, and functional safety certification. Recent adopters like AEye aim to certify their Apollo lidar for autonomous systems, while Hesai leverages its ISO 26262 ASIL B-certified lidar. Gatik is scaling driverless freight operations, and SecEdge advances hardware-anchored AI model protection, demonstrating broad ecosystem momentum.
